I’m aware that aircraft passengers are allowed to carry one lighter on their person during a flight.

For European destinations (UK return), a cheap ‘clipper’ definitely wont get confiscated, but will be absolutely no use in the slightest breeze.

So how about these:

USB C Rechargeable Lighter,Electric Plasma Lighter with Cross Dual arc,Windproof and Waterproof Lighter with Flashlight for Camping,Survival,Hiking(Orange) https://amzn.eu/d/3A8Hohk

and

Futlidys 2 Pack Jet Lighter, Double Jet Flame Gas Lighter with Protect Cover, Butane Refillable and Adjustable Flame Windproof Torch Lighter for Most Scenarios, Mens Gifts. Black(Sold without Gas) https://amzn.eu/d/7ctUUik

Thanks in advance👍

I had one of those types taken off me at an airport once, can't actually remember where but think UK or US...from what I can remember, they see it as some type of blow totch

It’s only for Europe.

I guess I’ll try the plasma arc one.

Whats the lighter for? Bit over the top for lighting a fag isn't it?

@ads678

pet peeve: struggling with a clipper in anything but calm weather 😣😣😣

I’ve got one of those plasma arc ones. It’s on a lanyard for extra style points.

just don’t want to bin it at the check in if the airline are being arbitrary.

Put it in your hold luggage? Or, y'know, don't take it, the tramp in Preston used to sell "gas lighters 5 for a pound" 30 years ago, they aren't difficult or expensive things to source.

Also, they have 'tabaccs' in 'foreign' countries, they sell lighters as well as tabacc.

Why would you want to take sometheing on an aircraft that is akin to a blow torch?

EDIT

Ahh, ok the penny has dropped #stealth advert from a free member.

It took me a while but I got there.
