I'm English, but i always want Ireland to do well. (And would likewise root for the other home nations if they qualified).

Do you? And if you don't, why not?

Nope. I'm a scot, and for that reason, I want to see Scotland do well (highly bloody unlikely, I know!), and couldn't give a hoot about any of the other home nations.

Not one of the home nations, that would be Northern Ireland

Foreign country and no more want them to win or lose than I do any of the other teams in the competition

I'm half English, with no connections to Ireland, and would like Ireland to do well, but strangely (and I'm expecting stick for this...) couldn't give a monkey's toss how England get on. I'd be ambivalent too if it was Scotland or Northern Ireland, but would like Wales to do well if they were there. (Actually, I'm a little bit Welsh). I've no idea why I feel this way.

As a half paddy and a lapsed left footer , why not , they are not going to win it so getting giddy in the early stages is great
