Well, considering what the Itlian press were saying about their side before the competition, they're looking tasty.

On the strength of Today's games Ireland surely have to fancy their chances against Belgium?

2 goals per game dd, happy?

The games have been, on average, pretty poor. But, happy, yeah...I have a team to shout for. 😆

EDIT: for another two games anyway...

hmm, dunno, think the best thing about the italian performance is that they made the belgians look ordinary, they look much better against sweden and ireland, imo. Need to be at the top of their game to have a chance.

wouldn't say poor,as i'm enjoying it, but it's been a slow start, hopefully gearing up for are special end. the world cup went a bit flat once it hit the later stages, so hoping for something different this time.

Just the two games today. It should in theory be wins for Austria and Ronaldo FC, but the previous days have shown that some teams are taking a while to get going/have Marc Wilmots as manager.

I'm taking advantage of the millions of betting websites offering free bets, so chucking a tenner on this:

If history has shown us anything, do not bet like I have. You will lose.

I see Gareth Bale said not one of the England squad would get into the Wales team Guardian linky

Well let me tell you something Gareth, there is no doubt that Roy would not bring you on no matter how badly Sterling was playing.

I am going to take this opportunity to announce my retirement from gambling with real money. It has been proven to me that I am not very good at it, and should just give the money to charity instead.

....but **** me. Everything said Hungary were going to lose today.

bongo, youre terrible at that betting lark! tempted to lump on iceland!

Whatever I bet on, stick the house on the alternate outcome. Winner guaranteed!

In Iceland you don't have a family name, you second name is your Dad's name with -son or -dottir on the end depending on your gender. Perhaps Gudjohnsen is a Swedish immigrant?

I hope everyone points and laughs at him today for being such a tool.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36535204

Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo hit out at Iceland's lack of ambition after the two sides drew 1-1 at Euro 2016.

The Real Madrid star also refused to shake the hands of the Iceland players after the group match in Saint-Etienne.

"I thought they'd won the Euros the way they celebrated at the end," he said.

"It was unbelievable. We tried hard to win the game and Iceland didn't try anything. This, in my opinion, shows a small mentality and they are not going to do anything in the competition."

"Portugal try to play football and try to win the game," said Ronaldo.

"Iceland didn't try anything. They were just defend, defend, defend and playing on the counter-attack."

Did he miss the bit where they nearly scored right at the end on the counter attack.

Sorry, but when a minnow plays one of the 'powers' then they devise tactics to suit the mismatch, and if that doesn't play in to the hands of the other team then it's up to them to adapt and overcome.

Weapons grade bellend.

He had a free header and two free kicks in the last few mins and messed them all up. He's only got himself to blame, but can't see that happening any time soon!

I posted these two images in the cool/not cool thread. I stand by that. I know another poster felt that Ronaldo's charitable giving made him cool, I respect that but disagree. Portugal drew not least as Ronaldo missed a free header from 4 yards. Iceland imo had their fair share of chances too.

So cool, not cool
