Niggly little fouls and a over-exuberant ref is killing this one.

I'm going out on a limb and saying Portugal will win on pens.

I'm not going out on a limb and saying I might have nodded off before it gets to pens.

The accuracy of the Croatian shots are making me think they may miss a few penalties if it makes it that far.

It's like they've been playing for pens since the first minute....

I've spent the whole match catching up on EU Referendum threads, this is a dire match. Portugal look like a Mint Cornetto ad and are playing with all the sharpness of an ice cream.

Congrats to Wales, missed the game but that was probably best.

As soon as that Croatian defender dawdled on the ball and lost it, I knew it was going to be a goal.

*tears up accumulator*

That 90 seconds was a 1000 times better than the prior 110 minutes

My betting inadequacies aside, I wanted Croatia to go through. Just a nicer team to watch.

That's opened up the top half for the Taffs to make the final!!

Good grief! 😯

Also gutted after watching all that shit, we were denied penalties. Only reason I was hanging on.

Croatia looked the more likely to win that, got caught in posession and hit with a sucker punch 😐

Today's picks.

France v Republic of Ireland (ITV)
Germany v Slovakia (ITV)
Hungary v Belgium (Beeb)

No bets for me. Hit my limit of losses I set for the tournament so just going to chill and enjoy the football.

Well....try and enjoy. Hopefully today is better than the shit that was on yesterday.

I've got a fiver left on my balance, so just the one bet for me, I've stuck it on Hungary to win at 5/1, as I can't work out how they came up with those odds. Belgium have been outstandingly meh. Whereas Hungary have been the surprise package. They look like they're enjoying themselves basically.

I reckon the football should be better than yesterday. Hopefully. That was truly dire. Apart from what will surely be goal of the tournament

On the betting side of things, what has hit me has been the lack of goals, and to a lesser extent the timing of those goals. So many HT/FT have failed as a result of all the 1-0 results. Also, you only get decent odds on a scorecasts from 2-0+, but this again has been affected.

Where have all the strikers gone?

Well... I've decided to embrace, once again, the Mrs Binners school of apoarently bonkers bets, which have seen her well up. I've stuck a few quid on Ireland at 8/1. I want to believe that I can see Keano smile again!! It can happen!

And if Keano can smile, then there's hope! 😀

I don't know how to say this, Binners, but one of my final bets before knocking it on the head was on Ireland to win in 90mins at 8/1. So apologies for your loss, but I had to make the bet as they are my DeadlySerious sweepstake team 8)

I guess my ITV hub app is behind the main stream then, as just came on here to say it was a penalty and found out the result...lol

I was wondering if Ireland would ever get a penalty after this was deemed as being just fine...

[img] [/img]

Right...just have to hold out for 85mins.

2 yoyos

Also, you sure the odds were 220/1 and not 22-1. The former seems very very high.

That's some amazing odds. Would have imagined that being 50-60/1 tops. Good luck to him!

In other news, Roy Keane could have played basketball...

aye, will need to score again I reckon though, but canny argue with that at all, looked the stronger team and had france rattled for a bit. got to expect a reaction from france early in the second.

To be honest, if this ends up 1-0, I'll send your brother £20 😀

I think the Irish may tire towards the end and the French will nick a goal, maybe 2. But probably just one as that will shaft all my bets when we go into extra time 😡

For the neutral this is very entertaining.

I imagine our Irish brothers are not enjoying it as much.

Not great to see my sweepstake pick going down the tubes either 🙁

So, it took Germany 8 minutes to what England could't in 90. They should take notes.

Cracking goal.

Oh Skrtel.

Edit: Whoops. Decent penalty, but slow/close enough to the keeper to save. Odd that Ozil took it, tbh.

England should've scored but Germany are playing a very different Slovakia. Pretty sure they aren't playing for a draw.

I haven't watched any football yet today, whats the consensus on Belgium v Hungary ? I'm pessimistic, think it will be dull so perhaps not bothering.

Hungary are my sweepstake team, so will hope they can cause an upset, but reckon Belgium might get themselves together for this one 3-1

Well, they are coming off two victories, so I think they may have hit their stride finally. But then there does seem to be 2 Belgian teams. One that listens to their ineffectual manager and struggles, and the other that ignores him and plays like the world class players most of them are.

Hungary have got that plucky underdog thing going on, tho.

What a save. I need to get myself a pair of joggers to improve my goalkeeping game.

in other news, I got a free bet for Germany winning, and stuck it on Belgium winning 4-0. Not sure that was advisable.
