Ronaldo doesn't like it. He won't be enjoying Wales win, unlike the whole of the rest of the world.

70% possession and the only clear cut chance was fluffed by by the £50M gold digger who supposedly moved clubs to get better...stick him on the bench...its what he's now only good for
only man who can tuck the chances away is sturridge but he's made of glass
needless foul rooney, but hart should have saved it.
Woy has no clue to the extent he may be related to Jon Snow

just heard danny murphy say that Woy told him that sturridge has been on fire all week in training....leaving him on the bench is great logic from him!!

Are the commentators inside a biscuit tin and why are all the players wearing hi viz, did they cycle to the game?

Oh and how shall I spend the £120 paddy power will be giving me if it stays like this?

The objective of the game is to put the ball in the net more times than the oppo.

We seem to have no idea of how to do that (outside set pieces) - desperate in the final third.

So how can we deserve any better?

At least Rooney just tried to score.

Oops, time for a speedy edit. Wrote the above to tempt fate!!!

vaaaarrrrddddddyyyyyy

Reading were shit last year, and

OH HANG ON!!!!!!

Get in FFS. Looked offside to me mind.

Anyway - no, I'll wait.

[edit] was in an offside position but wasn't offside. Read the LOAF for an explanation.

Vardy's shin 🙂 We should go on and win this now

Tough on Kane to go off, Vardy should be on for Sterling

Woy will still start with Sterling against Slovakia.

Edit: Tough on Kane? I'm not so sure. Really wasn't doing much.

precis?

Nice soft cross from Sturridge, flicked goalwards by Welsh defender under pressure, Vardy lurking to shin it in.

Cross, contested header, drops to vardy, swivels and scores from about 3 yards.

It's not an offence to be in an offside position, and the header coming from the welsh player put him back onside.

It's not an offence to be in an offside position

should be if whilst stood there the ball arrives at your feet and you score- seen it now thanks

All depends on whose head it came off but its a shit rule IMHO

It was brought in so the back man and goalkeeper can't just pass the ball between them to waste time, particularly when the goalie could then just pick it up.

That would be shit.

that was the back pass rule ,not the new offside rule, which is at least a decade older,

Sturridge quality attitude during his interview

Woy needs to learn the lesson here, Sterling needs to be at the back of the list

Best of luck to Wales to get the result they need against Russia

He doesn't even deserve to be on the bench. He's lazy, tactically clueless, and couldn't hit a barn door with a shovel. A preening cockwomble who believes his agents hype. I don't know how he's the nerve to stick a no 7 on his back.

I'm sure that if Pep has been watching then he'll already be ushering him towards the exit. Half a season on the bench, then out on loan, never to be seen again. City can afford to take the 30+ million hit they'll have to take on him, just to get shut of him

Missed part of the middle of the game, bastarding boss came down! grrrr.

Canny argue with England from what I say though, Gallant performance from wales, but England just a better team and it eventually won out.

Both teams in a good position though, Russia are doable. as are Slovakia.

I was like watching Arsenal at times, (when playing a so called inferior team), never easy trying to get through a packed defence of committed players, but we stuck at it and got what we deserved.

I thought all of Woy's subs were spot on at the time, as the one player you want on the pitch in these situations is Sturridge.....just a pity it took him so long to get in where he was needed, rather than dropping deep and shooting (badly).

All IMHO of course. 8)

It's Woy what won it 😉

2 perfect substitutions, now don't play Stirling! The jury's out on Kane.

spot on binners
he's a waste of space and talent...thins he's better than he actually is...has he improved since going to city? no...hes gone backwards IMO
best £49M Liverpool ever made!! 😀

Very strange to be so fired up for that as a fan yet be so genuinely conflicted about support. I thought I wanted Wales to win, being underdogs and seeing what it means to fans here, but I've been emotionally invested in England since I was a kid so I was pleased to see them play so much better.. so I guess that makes me an England fan after all 🙂

i really wish England had lost, all this does is reinforce the delusion that the England team are somehow contenders.
we don’t really have any world class players and what players we do have lack the ability to either follow basic instructions or show genuine talent for reading a game.
games seem to take the same form of stuttering around to little effect then running around in a panic for the last half hour. this only gets you so far in a tournament.
this isn’t enough against the top teams.

also losing at this stage would mean less work for emergency services as losing to italy, spain or france means the local intelligentsia like to show their disappointment by attacking ‘restaurants of ethnicity’.

Fair do's Mol's, btw you don't need to pick allegiance to a team, the euros are better enjoyed with out any. May have the odd soft spot here and there but that as far as it goes, it never verges on support. Nationalism is bollocks: 😆

Unfortunately Raheem is fast becoming the new Tony Daley.
I hope in years to come he rediscovers his form as he played quite a big part in that Liverpool team that should've won the league a couple of seasons ago.
Also this is the issue with taking so many strikers. Roy clearly likes this formation as it means he can find a place for Rooney, but Sterling is the only wide player we've got in the squad. Would've been better off taking Theo or Andros and leaving Rashford behind just to give us some options out wide.

Sterling isn't a wide player, which is part of the problem.
