I'm thinking of running a euros sweepstake at work in our team of 7. having never run one before, what works best?
We have had a 1st/2nd/3rd place one, and will be running last scorers for each England game.
[dunce]how does that work?[\dunce]
The winner has to predict who the final will be between, who will win, and which minute the first goal will be scored. Otherwise you keep the money.
like it.
The last scorer idea keeps it interesting until the final whistle. 20 outfield names into a hat, sell them all for a quid...the money could change hands through the game.
In the event of penalties - just send the money to Germany.
we do 1st and 2nd, and then a booby prize. Team that concedes the most goals in the group phase. That way even if you get a shite team you still have a chance to win.
(similarly in the National, last place that makes it right round)
This year we've split prize in the ratio 8:5:3 (16 tickets, innit)
