In the absence of any interesting topics today.. anyone watch the much hyped fight between the sons of the former British boxers, who had a great rivalry back in the 90s!?
I wasn't going to, as was convinced Eubank Jr would make it a boring fight and was too big for Conor Benn anyway, so would take an easy points victory... Easy? Holy crap how Conor Benn proved me wrong! I thought he'd won it at the time, but I think I was swayed by how much better than expected he was. Glad I chucked the £20 Sky's way in the end 🙂
Must admit I thought it was going to be a dud, need to watch it as it sounds like it was a brilliant fight. Do you think the decision was correct in the end?
Was a great fight. I dunno about the result. Benn accepted it graciously, so I think my initial reaction was wrong. Certainly shouldn't have been as wide scoring as it was.
Before the fight I just couldn't take to Conor Benn who come across as a tosser but great to see he has accepted defeat like a man and both showing respect to each other
Compare that to Fury who will always sound a ****
