Got 3 whole inches here now! Van firmly parked on the drive still. Heading out to Ashbourne and the Buxton road is already closed out of there so might give it a few more cups of tea before I venture out!!

Very odd weather!

Starting snowing in Bradford at 6:30 last night, on and off all night then appeared to melt a little then buckected down again, so the roads have been left with black ice with a nice covering of snow. Absolute mayhem in Bradford this morning with lorries jack knifed and car drivers been the usual incapable idiots.

Well nasty in Peebles. Got the motorbike out for summer a couple of weeks ago (parked on the road) bad weather came in fast yesterday no time to secure it, fell over in the wind, broken mirror.

Ironically I had to leave the 4WD at home today to tie the motorbike to and catch the bus to work...

Really must get a house with a garage !

good excuse to nip out pre-work though. snow is even exciting enough to make pup sit still for a second.

Sunny spells with patchy cloud. Did rain a little overnight, should help damp the dust down a bit. 😆

I'm snowed in. Nothing to do with the World Track Champs being on the BBC red button, oh no. 😉

Anyone want a cuppa?

I've just given up driving to Manchester, queuing Westbound from Huddersfield all the way there; thanks for the tip about the BBC red button 😀

Just raining a bit here in Cambridgeshire.

This is good news though, it allowed me to test the water diverter on the water butt I installed the other weekend. It works and I now have half a butt of water.

I love DIY

We're at Greenhills in Bakewell. We drove up to a fab soft play to play our indoor trump card, it got a bit deep at Darwin Forest Park, where the soft play is and it was closed, gah. The resolve of the campers in the tenting field seems to be waning,

I'd have packed up and gone an age ago if I were them!

The wind gave the van a bit a shoeing last night, but apart from a zipped door opening on my pop up porch awning, and the little 'uns pushchair getting a bit wet, we're all fine

We had an inch here - West Hallam - when I drove to work this morning at 6.45. I'd gone half a mile towards Ilkeston when there was suddenly no snow, only rain and tree branches blowing about. Apparently ended up with 2 inches by lunchtime here, but all gone now.

Glad I was working up in the Peaks yesterday - they were busy fitting the ploughs to the lorries at the Chapel depot.

Hope all the rain doesn't freeze tonight, was hoping to ride in tomorrow and don't want to get the Ice Spikers out again
