I know there are variations, but when do the main summer holidays start? We're thinking of a campervan trip and just trying to avoid the peak.
19th July I think.
We break up on July 17th. Devon.
We go back on Aug 31st. Only private schools will really be before us, a lot of schools the following week.
Yeh I think if you avoid July and August you'll be mostly OK.
23rd July, we come back on the 22nd and we meet occasionally a Scots ex-headteacher in SW France who's doing the same. Life here minus students and schoolkids for August makes it even better.
Last day is Friday 18 July here. Some schools may finish a week earlier but I think that most will be then as it makes the first day back on 1 September.
Cool. First couple of weeks should be relatively OK then.
