Been with Eon for eons. Thing it's could be time for a change. Is it worth switching and if so who is good/cheap? Wouldn't mind an energy smart meter too.
Get on to money saving expert and use their cheap energy club, you put in what you use and they'll tell you who will be the cheapest.
We use Ecotricity.
https://www.ovoenergy.com/ seem to offer green energy and very good prices. A friend who's with them seems very happy.
Don't go to Spark.
OVO. Not the cheapest, but excellent service.
GB Energy here, good service and was the cheapest by far, although as they don't pay comparison sites commission, they don't always appear in the tables....
If you do get any supplier to put one in make sure it's DCC complaint, (the new company that's going to centrally administer the data) or it'll loose it's 'smarts' if you change supplier again in future.Wouldn't mind an energy smart meter too
E.ON wanted to give me one recently, but I declined until they have this issue sorted out.
Switched FlowEnergy a year ago and saved £100 / month compared to BG.
Moneysavingexpert will always point you in the direction of whoever gives them the biggest kick-back (Martin Lewis got bought out by an insurance comparison site a while back).
Find out what your annual consumption is, and feed the result into a couple of different comparison sites.
Personally I use Sainsburys - who were slightly cheaper in my case and have good customer service (easy to get hold of a real person to talk stuff through)
Thanks chaps. Like the look of GB Energy. Might give them a go.
