What is the view on repairing a chipped enamel bath?
Is it worth bothering with DIY kits?
I’ve seen some less than positive DIY results from the £30ish kits with yellowing soon after, or repair being very obvious.

After dropping a hammer in the bath which left a 30mm chip, I’m trying to decide whether to DIY, get a professional to spray entire bath, or just replace bath.

I did - this was many years ago - get the bath doctor or some such guy to come and repair / reskin an old enamel bath. I think it was effective for a while, but did eventually lift off round the plughole. For chips it might be enough to keep going for a bit longer. I'm not sure it's a very long term solution (unless the techniques have improved).

For DIY you could try Miliput epoxy putty in white. You can shape and mold it with water. You can sand it when dry. I've filled a few smaller chips around the edge of a cast iron bath with it.
