Has anyone else experienced an unbelievable amount of email spam today. Been getting an email almost every 2 minutes all day for absolute nonsense like debt stuff, boner pills etc.

Girlfriend checked hers there and her account has been hit too

Funnily enough yes, but in the last week; probably about 20 a day!

On the upside I've got a load of nailed on promises.

Same volume as usual in my spam filter (I run my own server) but there were a few that came through to my inbox yesterday and today; usually they are all stopped in the filter. So I suspect the spammers have found a new way to defeat the filters - if your email is normally filtered by your provider (eg, gmail or your ISP) their filters may also be leaking, so you may be seeing spam that is normally stopped before it reaches you.

I get loads, btinternet used to be really good at filtering when Yahoo were involved, but since BT left Yahoo it's been absolute crap, and I just can't seem to teach it to filter the junk out.
It seems to go back to my inadvertently doing what seemed to be an innocent survey that turned into some promotional selling site that's obviously circulated my email to all and sundry.
Certainly the amount seems to be higher than usual.

Yup. My main personal email account is a yahoo one and this week there has been loads more spam than normal. Today was actually better than the rest of the week so fingers crossed it's getting sorted.
