Anyone hear this guy on the Today programme this morning. Whatever you think of Paypal, he is a man who is really doing something amazing with his money.
Popular webcomicist The Oatmeal wrote a lovely two-part comic about what it's like to own a Tesla Model S:

(he sums it up as an "Intergalactic Space Boat of Light and Wonder". He is a fan)
At the end he wrote a message to Elon Musk, asking him to please donate $8 million to help build a museum for Nikola Tesla.
Elon Musk simply tweeted the next day: "@Oatmeal I would be happy to help"
😯
The man wants us to go to space and he's working to make that happen in a big and serious way. He makes cars that look awesome and drive well and are making the established car industry scared.
Awesome.
My favourite part was where he was asked if he was worried about losing all of his money and he just said 'No, I'm really not'. Cool.
Pretty impressed by this as well:

Ok, it will give them more competition from the 'big boys', but if this was taken up then the infrastructure would improve massively and overall benefit Tesla who would have quite a lead. Great call by them I say.
They're considering opening a technical centre in the UK which could be very interesting.
Can't fault the guys vision or willingness to put it all on the line.
