Hi
We’ve a house booked for a family get together over Easter. Children range from 7-16. We are looking for things to visit close by and also any nice pubs for food please.
Also best place for beaches please?
Thanks in advance
Ellough near Beccles in Suffolk?
If so then this thread might help:

... is ellough.
The nearest pubs will be Beccles ('Spoons!)/Three Horsehoes in North Cove and The Swan in Barnby. The Shadingfield Fox (havent been in years) or the Wangford Plough, Coach and Horses and Five bells in Wrentham. Or head into Southwold.
The Urban Jungle Cafe on the outskirts of Beccles is nice and an easy bike ride on quiet roads/bike paths if that helps. Theres also posh pigs on the industrial estate.
If you've been watching Masters of the Air then Ellough Air is ex Raf/Usaaf and theres a bridleway through the bits that arent still active. The road to the Three Horseshoes is an old runway...
The Maize Maze at Reydon has a great Cafe and the Maze and other activities for the kids.
Lowestoft or Southwold for beaches (Southwold is nicer).
Yep near Beccles. Thanks. Any other suggestions would be welcome.
Maybe get the chain ferry to Reedham? Nice place to get an enormous scone from the deli and sit by the river watching the boats.
Carlton marshes is nice too, near Oulton broad . Suffolk Wildlife Trust run. Good cafe too.
Covehithe for a nice walk down to the 'dead tree' beach.
Beccles aerodrome to watch the skydiving while having lunch on the viewing veranda.
