Just after picking any electricians brains for ideas, basically I am re landscaping my garden, I have dug a trench and have run armoured cable, one end goes to near my consumer unit in the house the other end is at bottom of garden, these have lots of spare on, I am at the stage of getting someone in to come and connect everything up, my idea is to connect into consumer unit at one end and have either this http://www.worldofwater.co.uk/products/Blagdon-Remote-Control-3-Way-Socketbox.html or this http://www.worldofwater.co.uk/products/Blagdon-Powersafe-5-Switch-Box.html at the other end with lighting for the decking and lighting for the rock garden and the pump for the rock garden connected. Could anyone see a problem with this if I get a qualified part p electrician to install it? Also would you go for low wattaged lights and pump?

Dont touch that blagdon crap with a bargepole, not even if its someone elses bargepole. I've used it in the past and frankly you couldnt pay me to use it again.

If i was doing it again I'd go with a proper waterproof housing and stick a cheap/small rcd bank in there.

That was another idea a clear waterproof housing with sockets in protected with rcd and maybe those remote control sockets in you can get so everything can be controlled with a remote control. Just wanted to have some ideas for when sparkie came round
