Needs to be someone pretty switched on I think (already been let down once).

Moved into a house with underfloor heating. It works but I think the wiring isn't quite right. Boiler stays on all the time - I have checked a few things but beyond me now.

Thanks

So it is UFH supplied by the boiler?
Is it space heating (the only heat for the room) or just for the floor?
Where is the thermostat?
If space, then it should be on the wall 4 foot or so above the floor, if floor only, it should be set under the floor.
What temps. are you getting at the stat?
What is the stat set to?
What system is it? S or Y?
I could go on.
But start there, and it will be clearer,

Thanks for reply

2 zone UFH with valliant combi boiler
2 room stats(Chronogyr Rev11)
2 pumps
2 honeywell motorised valves
No rads

Not sure about temperatures - that side works fine but the boiler stays on with no demand. Already checked the valves are working ok and had some other useful suggestions from posting on here to try out.

Can't work out the wiring. Looks like it should be s plan plus minus HW. The UFH seems to have less wiring that most - can't find a wiring centre for it and it’s just upstairs/downstairs and not room by room.

I think it's a decent UFH system but has been wired by someone else either cheaply or without sufficient knowledge.

The L from the boiler is connected to same junction as the mains L whereas most wiring diagrams show it to orange from the motorised valves.
The 2 oranges from the valves are wired to different junctions and not sure where the boiler L would go.

But I don't want to mess about and accidentally send 240v to a 24v circuit or something.

So basically in over my head and need a professional...

OK.
Basically, the thermostat calls for heat, this then powers up the (presumably) S valve (one pipe in, one out), which opens up to allow the water to flow.
When it opens up, it also opens/closes a microswitch, which sends power to the boiler to start up.
The reverse happens when it has reached temperature, the stat opens up, and the valve closes, and cuts off the supply to the boiler.
I'd suggest the stat is either not getting to temperature, or it has been wired in wrongly.

Honeywell do a good guide on their website. The wiring is quite simple when broken down, but in the real world can be harder as many cables are not marked up, so it takes times to identify what goes where.
