I've got a house in Cheshire that I own, registered to vote there.

Additionally I have a flat in Chiswick that I rent for work purposes - I work in Central London, Monday to Friday - and I keep getting local council electoral register forms through the door.

Do I have to register at the rented property too?

I'd have thought registering twice would be a pretty serious crime.

I think you register twice, it's voting twice in the same election that would be a pretty serious crime. I think you can vote in your local elections in Cheshire and Chiswick, but you definately can't vote twice in a general election.
