I would like to fit two outside lights, with new outdoor switch at back door and new outdoor switch at front door.

Firstly, what trunking that is easy to fit on really rough render?

Secondly, I'm happy to run the wires through trunking, verge and fascia, but is it easier to terminate at our fuseboard (one spare slot) or at a ceiling rose for downstairs lights?

I'm planning on a sparky doing checks and final connection - but much of the job is faffy cable running...

Its probably best to use PVC conduit on the outside of the building, it will last longer and look better and able to take up the rough surface.

Might be worth getting the guy who you are getting in to do the connections, its likely he would be best placed to give the best advice of where to terminate. Depending how the existing wiring was arranged will determine where best to terminate.

Plastic conduit , or, SWA cable to run outside.
Metal conduit is my favourite, but a little overkill, though I intend to do mine that way.
I'd be preferring a new supply from the consumer unit. It will need RCD protection.
