A little sketchy on the details - but the wife employs a lovely OAP (69) lady in her shop.
She's on Sky for tv, phone and broadband although she doesn't watch TV (no idea why she ended up on Sky). She rang them because her contract is up whilst she's on holiday, and somehow she ended up getting talked up into a £50 per month package for 10 months and then going up in price after that.
She now realises she's been a little 'had' but a quick google shows that as the contract is a renewal there is no cooling off period.

Has anyone had joy in dealing with Sky with auto renewals/cooling off periods?

TIA

It's not an Auto renewal as the original contract has no end date. It carries on indefinatly after the minimum term until one party ends it.

She has agreed for services to be supplied, and agreed a new minimum term.

There is no cooling off period as it is not a new contract.

You/she can complain if you/she thinks it's unfair, but unless she was lied to or misled on the phone, I can't see what grounds for comaint you would go for.

69! How does she manage? That's how old Jeremy Corbyn will be in three years time and he's getting ready to run the country.
