No I haven't thankfully but from the sounds of it they haven't got any better, A few years back they were known for being complete and utter pant and not just in the biking world, they were know in the horsing world to be a complete and utter bunch of monkeys.

I too have had dealings with this muppets. We used them for dog insurance as they were the cheapest. However when we made claims they would take that long to pay out we would get final demands from the vet. Eventually we would just end up paying ourselves then claiming back. They do have a reputation for this behaviour but i was willing to put up with it as they always paid out eventually and were cheaper than the competition.
I recommend the phone daily approach, it worked for us after my dobermann had a £1000 MRI scan.

I used them for my pet insurance but I never made a claim however I heard nothing but horror stories and moved to Petplan just in case.

Used to use them for bike insurance. A claim for a written off bike (Long story involving an Alpine Elements transfer) was agreed in principle within 24 hours. Then took nearly 3 months to actually send the payment. Buggered off to M&S after that.

Yes, that too. I forgot about the close relationship with Mrs Thumb and her daughters.

Did the "Poppy" thread degenerate whilst I was on the train? It seems to have been pulled.

Hmmmm not sure why it got pulled. I suspect someone perhaps made comments/revelations they regretted in an open forum and asked to mods to preserve their dignity so to speak.

Check google for E and L complaints and you may understand why many people wouldn't deal with them twice.

Sorry, at least they have agreed to pay and at some stage you will get your money.

Ring them daily, note who you speak to and email them daily as well. essentially make it more expensive for them to stall you than pay out.

Good luck
