looking for bunkhouse standard accomodation anywhere between peebles and selkirk or there abouts for 2 this weekend. or a last minute good deal on a bnb/hotel ... has anyone stayed at st ronans ? my experiance of there on an SDA weekend would be that you couldnt pay me to stay there as it got well rouwdy with local rugby team having won that weekend

the wigwams are full and really are not really cheap compared to hosteling (natch there are no hostels in the area that are open/bookable)

failing that ill be tenting it !

We are away down to Dumfries, camping at Kippford, and hopefully going to ride bits of Mabie and Dalbeatie.

Going to be at Dalbeattie with forge sometime on Sunday before my night shift 😀
Diversions in place on Dalbeattie. Smithland hill area diverted to Spooky Wood due to harvesting
Did you know you can cycle into the forest at Barnbarroch? Forest access road sign posted with a big post for a walking route, take you to post 55
Another option is to cycle down to Kipford and take the Jubilee path to Rockliffe and then the road to Colvend and into the forest along the track past the village hall, again marked with a walkers post. Takes you to post 25 and up towards Smithland. The Twins are out of bounds Due to the above harvesting 😉

Just been night riding at GT, its wetter than a wet thing - standing water where I didn't realise there was a hole/depression etc

Good fun though short, but still beer afterwards 🙂

There is also a Tweedlove natural ride on Sunday - just turn up at Kingsmeadow car park for 10am.
