Well, I may have been a bit slow up on the uptake of 'getting' the Aussie psyche, but here's our current education minister having a little sing at the Sydney olympics about how the Howard government really should apologise to the traditional land holders:

Well I expect basic standards of decorum from education ministers.

I have a more relaxed attitude with regards to other politicians though.

Gove is Englands Education Minister.

The Welsh Education Minister is Leighton Andrews, Scottish is Michael Russell.

Responsibility for education is devolved to Scotland and Wales. Gove has no influence outside England.

Having already established he's somewhat less cool than the Australian Minister for School Education, Early Childhood and Youth, I'm not too concerned whose kids he has influence over 😆
