Got some graphite coloured porcelain tiles for around the bath

I've looked at the edges of the tile and the colour runs right through the tiles

I really don't like those plastic and chrome edging strips, they just look a bit 'buy to let rental property'

Is it ok to not have any edging?

I was thinking of using a darkish grout anyway, and thought if there was any gap showing behind the tiles I could somehow grout it to tidy it up?

IMHO its fine to not have edging just finish with grout (just to fill to wall where the tile sits proud) as you would between the tiles and it will look great

When I fitted a welsh slate floor in our bathroom I cut a 45deg chamfer on the edge with a circular table tile saw and polished it with an electric sander. looked really good.
I tried doing the same when I fitted granite tiles in the kitchen but they were too hard to sand so I used some rectangular square edged brushed aluminium edging which looked very clean and modern, much better than the plastic trims you normally see which I despise.
