Even as a kid I never understood why he was laughed at so much, cos the ski jump looked terrifying.

There was a piece with him in Cycling Active not so long back. Quite enjoyed reading it.
I used to ski race and Eddie trained at my local dry slope. He was an English squad ski member and very handy slalom skier. He just got picked up on as a goofy plumber from Gloucester.
I then saw him jump 5 buses off a sketchy scaffold tower with stupidly steep run in - a single mat of dry slope wide. The slope manager was harnessed in at the top and terrified!
He's brave and an awesome bloke.
It'd be ace if he did make the World Masters diving.

I've just read the Wikipedia article on him, really interesting stuff. He was the 9th fastest speed skier in the world. Also, and I really hope this is true..
Eddie currently holds the World Record for the most raw eggs consumed in 10 minutes, he managed 26.
He has balls.
