Have been looking in the supermarket, for both tinned and dried, to no avail.
Does anyone know please? Thanks.
Waitrose and MandS sell Fresh
I've only seen them in supermarket salad pots..
In fact I'm having some in a minute with a pouting fillet and some wild rice.. nomnomnom
If you have a korean supermarket near yo you can get the frozen edamame pods, very nice sprinkled with salt then steamd for about five minutes
Wing Yip in Manchester have frozen ones I think.
Tesco do frozen packs. Very microwaveable and very nice.
Thanks for the replies. 🙂
I've tasted them in a prepared veg stir-fry from Sainsbury's but they don't sell them on their own, neither does Asda.
Will check out Waitrose. 🙂
Most oriental supermarkets will have them frozen which, like frozen peas, are still pretty good compared to fresh.
Steam/blanch for 4 or 5 minutes then sprinkle with a mix of salt and a few chilli flakes.
slainte 😀 rob
Sainsburys has frozen Birds Eye soya beans. Or did you want the whole edamame pod?
Asda do roasted and salted. Very nice alternative to peanuts.
Whilst on the subject of obscure steamed oriental food- which we may not actually be on, I can reccomend korean steamed dumplins filled with kim chi - nice and spicy (the jos of living near New Malden - the korean centre of the UK)
Yo Sushi sell choccy covered ones
If you want the soya beans rather than the whole pod, Sainsburys sell them in the frozen section - next to the peas.
Waitrose didn't have them. 🙁
