I ordered a router bit from an ebay store last week, arrived very promptly, no probs with the service.
Except, idiot that I am, I ordered the wrong one. I've tried to start an ebay return, but they won't let me progress without creating a paypal account, which I refuse to do. (ebay want to charge me for the return postage, rather than me just walking to the post office and bunging a stamp on it there).
I've dropped the vendor a mail to see if I can return direct to them, but wondered if there's a way round the requirement for Paypal. I'm sure I've returned stuff in the in the past without an issue. (although that may have been "faulty goods" rather than "my own stupidity")
Ideas?
Thanks...
I can't help at all but Ebay have recently (last year or so) made their returns process massively more of a PITA than it needs to be, so it's not just you.
I think that if you start an eBay return then the seller has to refund you and you'll have to buy the correct item rather than just doing an exchange. When I've sold things on eBay I always ask to be contacted directly for an exchange rather than going through the eBay returns process.
