Anyone had a similar experience using paypal?

I recently bought a used camera off an ebay seller. When trying to pay for the item with Paypal ebay informed me the transaction didn't go through and to try again. I left it until the following day and tried again, and this time the payment went through.

However, checking my Paypal account since having received the camera I can see two separate transactions for the ammount. Checked with the seller and he confirms has only received only one payment.

Presume I need to raise this with ebay but buggered if I can find out how? It keeps on directing me to an faq but my issue isn't listed. Any ideas?

TIA

Yep. Sort of anyway! Waited overnight and nothing had appeared and the camera was still available to buy, so presumed it didn't got through...

Anyone else with experience of how to deal with Paypal?

I raised a dispute with them but they've looked into it and said I authorised two payments and tough shit basically. Not happy with this as I believe there was a problem with their system, and after contacting the seller he mentions I have only paid him once...

but have you bought it twice then on ebay?
the PP transaction must say who it went to, how can they say they did not get it.
but it could be a bug/glitch in the system, stuff like that can happen.
probably best to state the case to PP again with as much detail as possible and ask them to look into it.

No, it was just one item but the buy it now option cocked up the first time and ebay stated the payment wasn't successful and to make it again.

My Paypal is linked to my credit card and it wasn't until a day or so later I saw the two separate transactions on my Paypal account
