I've got a three piece sofa, motorbike leathers, camera and lenses to sell and i'm expecting £1500 ish for them in total so I'm loathed to give ebay 8-10% of that, is Amazon a realistic alternative?

I have no experience of them other than they pay no corporation tax

Classifieds on here seems to be the default choice now.

Someone had a binliner full of broken furniture on there yesterday.

Ebay will often give a greater margin over other methods than that

You just can't beat the exposure

That's my thoughts too, but you can't control the nobedds who shop on their at times too. I've sold about 30 items in about 6 years and I've had more hassle than it's worth, despite making uber accurate descriptions and having 100% record

Leathers and camera kit will go for good money on ebay, easily enough to cover the extra costs and then some. Sofa will be trickier as you will mostly be limited to local buyers, maybe local ads. If it is valuable it might be worth working out a delivery method to maximise buyers.

For big things like sofas Gumtree or Trade it is best and free.
Camera - ebay, no idea on leathers - motorbike form classified?
