So I got an email from eBay saying that I can add my bank details and get paid directly by eBay and "avoid the additional charges from PayPal".
Great I think, and promptly add my bank details as I have a couple of items for sale.
Turns out that eBay are now charging 12.8% plus a 30p standing charge instead of 10%.
However if you list during £1 promotion all you pay is £1 total no PP fees too. Can work in your favour too.
Yup, £1 listing and your quids in
Yep, I only sell on £1 weekends.
Put on 7 items 2 weeks ago, sold all in 48 hours. £650 with only £7 of fees 😎
These are auctions only though right?
No. You can do BIN with a £1 listing. Only thing to watch out for is if it doesn't sell and auto re-lists then its back to full price. You can't do multiple sales though, eg listing 10 of the same item in one listing
I only list on max £1 selling fees too. But you still only pay £1 fees even after re-listing.

Not if it auto relists
I need to add bank account on mine too.
EDIT
So you paid 5% fee for paypal plus the £1 selling fee on the 'deal' weekends and now it's 12.8% + 30p?

No, the £1 max fees are still £1 and if you sack off your PayPal account you don't have to pay the PayPal fees. What Ebay have done is basically transfer the PayPal fees to themselves by charging 12.8% plus 30p on a normal listing when you don't use PayPal. They are selling it as a saving though by saying if you add a bank account you don't have to pay the PayPal fees (what their marketing email DOESN'T tell you is that you will be paying 12.8% + 30p instead of 10%.).

But aren't there listing fees with BIN or are they free to list on a £1 max fees weekend?

Depends on the item and the seller. Some things have extra fees eg cars, but not many, and then you have a certain number of free listings (either BIN or auction), I think you get 20/per month as standard but it's often upped to 100. For a casual seller it is pretty good
I must be missing something here. I only get the option to list as "good till cancelled" when doing fixed price which will remove the £1 max fee promotion if it doesn't sell before the promotion ends. If I do a 1 day auction then the BIN price needs to be 40% more than the starting price and incurs a £0.50 listing fee....
£1 selling fees 'til midnight today if anyone is having a clear out
