Started a dispute over an undelivered item, it's a week over the already lengthy delivery estimate and the vendor has suggested I close it and give the post system more time. OK, I can do that, but if I do can I re-open or start a second one if it still doesn't arrive?

Value is about £25, so not huge in the grand scheme of things.

Ta.

No. This is a classic scam (seller tries to get you to close case, for whatever reason) as once it’s closed, that’s it.

Nope. As above, leave it open. That'll still give the postman more time and you can then close it if it arrives.

Thanks. I'm not suspecting a scam, it's a big seller. I could always let the dispute run and pay up if it does arrive.

Sorry about the odd duplicate thread. Other one reported.

Just to follow up. A week isn't that late at the moment. If it is seller that you are happy with but just want to chase then it is better to message using "ask a question about the item" rather than the more obvious "where is my item" option as that doesn't raise a dispute or a black mark against them. You can still open a dispute later if it doesn't work out

Yeah, you're dead right that would have been the better thing to do. 😞 In which case I might do the decent thing now, cancel the dispute and cross my fingers.
