Ebay combining postage and amending/refunding cost

I've sold a bulky item on ebay for £30 plus postage of £5.88 for the prepaid postage label I can print from ebay.   Same buyer wants a second bulky item and I've said I'll try to combine postage.

I've checked Evri and Yodel and I think I can do one large parcel with Evri for £6.26.

Second item hasn't been bought yet buyer has an offer from me to buy at £26 plus it's ebay quoted postage  (a ridiculous £13 odd , no idea why it was that much!)

So  is there an easy way to sort out amending postage costs or do I need to speak to ebay?

They should be able to click buy and request total for both unless immediate payment is required?

Okay,  so with the first item which has been paid for, along with the £5.88 for the postage.  How do I get the £5.88? As I'm now going direct to Evri and paying them for the postage.  Or do I refund that £5.88, and invoice for the new postage?

Rockthreegozy, no, but they hit BIN and paid on the first,  then offered on the second.

Ebay sorting the postage label seems great ..... until an occasional seller like me wants to help a buyer out like this.. . Now it's feels a bit complex.

The £5.88 gets added to your payout, you don't have to buy the postage via eBay just in most instances it is convenient.

I'd just ship the items and partial refund on one item once you have the postage amount confirmed

Great.  So I could tell the buyer to reject the counter offer I'd made and offer an amount,  which along with the second postage,  the first item payment and the first item postage,  totals the amount I seek for the 2 items and the combined postage.   I then go direct to Evri to post and all is good....hopefully.

Good.   Thanks!

Yeah that's what I do, ebay does have some postage tools but they don't really work for my items so I just put "if you buy multiple items I will refund the savings". And then, to be fair, I often forget

Ok, so long as the £5.88 postage ends up in my account I'm all good.  2 bulky items sold very quickly today,  very happy with that!
