boygt an item on eBay and the buyer wants me to pay with BT. No particular problem with that as long as I get buyer protection which he insists I still do. I thought this only applied if I paid with PayPal...?
Who is right?

AFAIK the protection is through pay pal, there is no way of refunding a bank transfer and ebay can't do anything other than ask the seller to refund you where as pay pal can be reversed. If the sale was advertised with PP use that.

or don't use anything if theres any whiff of a scam - the seller telling you that black is white being quite a potent whiff.
