In my experience if you’re looking for anything more sophisticated than a pasty, you’re gonna be looking elsewhere.

It's a bit of an old thread but Eating and dog walking in Bude

From our last visit (was 2 years ago) we thoroughly enjoyed:

Olive Tree in Bude

Life’s a Beach bistro for lunch (man their burger were ace) and the monkfish curry, which considering I don’t really like fish, was phenomenal

Have to agree that Pengennas pasties are not as good as Tasty Pasties (but shhh.. I’ve had better in Devon)

Margaret’s tea garden, which was lovely, even if they have some spiteful reviews (tosspots the lot of them)

[s]Bay View Inn for mussels (Widemouth Bay), Mrs z1ppy enjoyed them (as above, I’m not a sea food man)[/s]

This place was pretty poor  on our last visit

& Life’s a beach

[edit] oh and I'd add Widemouth Manor (up the road from Bude) for a Roast dinner

Electric Bakery is excellent

Everywhere else you can expect the standard overpriced crap

Further afield it's worth checking out the Cabin Cafe at crackington haven, the coastal walk between there and Bude is also spectacular

I’m a little further in land in Holsworthy, but we do venture out in Bude now and again.
For a curry I would rate The Bay Leaf
Life’s a Beach is good, shut tonight for club night.

Temple is good, if a little bit up themselves.

The Bank left us distinctly underwhelmed recently.

A little further south, The Wainhouse Inn which I’ve heard good reports about their Sunday lunches.

Boscastle - Rocket Store would be my choice.

Just a little north at Morwenstow, The Bush is good. Nice food & good beers.

a couple of others, Bulmer’s Arms & The Tree Inn have different pop ups but you’d need to check what & when.

Best fish & chip takeaway, The Mermaid gets my custom.

Have fun, we’re heading over to LAB later.

Also, The Preston Gate in Poughill.  Always had good food there and they often have live music.

Had a bloody lovely curry at Mirchi in Bude last year, think it was one of the chef specials. Remember the Rectory Tea rooms just up the coast being nice too for afternoon tea shizzle.
