Moon on a stick request...

Ideas for a fairly flattish 5 mile walk on the western side of the Lakes - we're staying at Maryport, so thinking of heading inland tomorrow after a day along the coast today.

Obviously being the Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend we expect it to be rammed unless we get there early

Buttermere loop? From memory it’s about 8km around so prob fits the bill. V flat, great scenery...

Stroll up ennerdale toward blacksail hut, bit longer than 5 mile but very easy going

Eskdale has lovely low level bridleway and fp either side of the river including walking up into upper eskdale

Will add that to the list - MrsMC is keen on seeing what Whinlatter has to offer. - probably to torment me as I didn't bring a bike or riding kit 🤣

That Loweswater route looks nice though. Might save that for another time

+1 for Ennerdale/Black Sail. Out one side of the valley and back the other. Longer than requested but easy and a brilliant location.

Drive to Whinlatter and do the loop up to Lords Seat, round to Barf and back. A bit of up and down but nothing too strenuous.
