Apart from scanning the list of threads regularly how do people monitor changes to threads they've contributed to or are interested in ? I tried using tapatalk without success then people suggested saving to favourites etc but I've noticed often that for example I'll start a thread and get some answers then perhaps reply on the same thread and the other contributors quickly respond. Surely they can't be watching for changes on the main list . What am I missing here apart from enough brain cells!

As far as I can see there is no way of doing this on this forum unlike most. I try to remember the number of answers when I post and then can see if others post. Only works on a computer tho not a phone

If you go to your own forum profile and look at "replies created" you get a list. It's not broken down into threads, so multiple replies to the same thread make it unnecessarily long IMO but it's the best way I know

(the major loss from the old forum for me is being able to see the most recent poster's name on any thread)

Can't you just click your username and view topics you've contributed to?

yes I thought it wasn't as user friendly as I'd hoped. Can you no longer post videos now also ..only link to them ?

Use the notifications function.

It must serve some purpose, mustn't it?

wasn't sure if you were serious so I checked it out . At first I thought That was the solution but unfortunately when you click on the particular notification it just takes you to the main thread list so you have no idea which thread it's notifying you about. You probably knew this !

I used to have a link for the old forum that worked which was via the profile page but after the downgrade it doesn't. The new profile page only lists the actual replies I've made but not a simple list of the threads and indication of who last replied, which is what the old did.

And of course the Notifications feature is plain useless.

Still baffles me why this is so hard when millions of forums out there do the job fine and in a standard way. Although given the frustrations I get with software development over the years and the stuck-in-the-mud approach of some bosses who would rather re-invent the wheel (badly) for ten times the cost or do the absolutely minimum for the cost of a packet of crisps, then maybe I shouldn't be so surprised.

Forum is a shambles. I used a stronger description but was given a warning.

All rather tiresome.
