I've just bought a fancypants new (to me) iphone 11 Pro that doesn't have a headphone socket.
My old cabled Shure earphones are on their way out anyway (the cable appears to be going green internally!) so can you reccommend me a pair of wireless earpod type things, sub £100 please?
Ease of use, sound quality and comfort are highest priorities.
Less fussed about active noise cancelling as I find if an in-ear bud fits well, it blocks out a lot of ambient anyway. multipoint bluetooth I can sort of see the point of, but equally could live without. Moderately weatherproof is good as they'll get (ab)used on the turbo.
Do they all come with microphones for taking calls?
Sony WF-C700N seems to be well regarded. I like the look of the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+ but overbudget and out of stock.
Thanks!
Excellent choice of phone, I write this on the very same.
Therefore in a perfect stw case of recommend what you got: anker soundcore liberty air 2 pro. I think you could come well under budget and be very happy.
Alternatively, stick to your higher budget. I’m sure someone will tell you the Sony’s are awesome shortly, I’ve heard that said round here.
Edit: oh yeah I forgot about rampant inflation and I bought mine about a year ago. They’re now £99.99. Still recommended.
Jabra Elite 75T user here. Very happy with them, sound quality is bang on, noise cancelling as good as my big over ear Bose that cost 4 x the price.
May be discontinued now I look, sure there’ll be a newer equivalent though.
I got the cheapest from the What HiFi top 10. Earfun from Amazon. Sound great and connect reliably.
Edit - try this.
Another vote for those Earfun ones, also bought based on WhatHiFi reviews. Can't comment compared to more expensive ones as I've not needed to buy another pair since.
The wife has been using them recently. She usually never has in ear ones as they don't fit but these are the first she's used that aren't uncomfortable or fall out.
I bought the wife some Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+ earpods when they were £40 on Amazon. She really liked them 👍
Not sure if there's any deals on them currently, but they still get excellent reviews at normal price.
Decent deal on Cambridge Audio Melomania Touch here...

If you can stretch a touch you’re into AirPods territory. And for easy of use they are second to none. Can’t recommend mine enough.
I’ve got the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro after a PSA on here a few years ago. Love them - when they die I’ll get another pair. Use them cycling to work, on the turbo trainer, walking the dog etc etc. Decent bass in particular - mine aren’t sound cancelling but I don’t need / want them to be.
Looks like a newer version squeak under £100 here

I ‘member when the earbuds were included in the box.
I have a pair of Soundcore Liberty Neo. They are 3½ years old, cost about £35 (from memory) on Amazon and are going strong, in almost daily use. No drop in battery life and to my undemanding ears, sound great. I don't think you can get the exact same ones anymore, but based on my experience I'd happily buy the same brand again.
Edit: Just checked, they cost me £50 in Jan 2020. Still worth it.

Jabra Elite 75T user here. Very happy with them...
Same here, got them cheap in Amazon Warehouse Deals (always worth checking!). I was sceptical of BT earbuds, but they've been fantastic. Very happy.
Highly rate the google earpods which are bang on £100. Just as easy as airpods to use.
Another Earfunner here
I got the cheapest from the What HiFi top 10. Earfun from Amazon.
Earfun here as well and recommended. The original silicon tip thigs didn't work for me so I got some memory foam ones which are great, but slightly too long so they wouldn't fit in the charging case properly. Trimmed them down and now all is good. Not the loudest (or maybe I'm getting deafer) but definitely better sound quality compared with the Aftershox bone-conduction things I was using before.
Another vote for the Earfun Air, currently down from £49 to £39 on Amazon with an additional 20% off at basket bring them to £31 which is a bargain. I might even get a spare set.
Big fan of Creative Outlier. Good sound quality, incredible battery life. Well made and comfy also

+1 for Anker Soundcore. I had a set of the life P3i, which I got for a lot less than £100. They were awesome until one of them stopped charging, at which point Anker gave me a refund. I replaced them with Sony WMF-100XMF. The Sonys are better, but not by much.
Every week or so you’ll see Airpod 2 on offer at £109. Honestly don’t waste your money on anything else if you’ve got an iPhone.
I have a pair of Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+, not that comfortable and don't feel secure. In fact I have two pairs, the first pair wouldn't charge so they were replaced under warranty. Second pair did charge but kept dropping the bluetooth connection. These were warrantied but Cambridge Audio didn't have any Melomania 1+ in black so they sent me a pair of Melomania Touch - these work perfectly and are very comfortable and secure!! So a good result.
Also have a pair of Anker Life A1 earbuds that I use at work, these are pretty good but not as comfortable as the Melomania Touch.
I bought the EarFun on the back of a recommendation on here and What HiFi. The sound is excellent for the price, however I am finding the tap controls annoying with a hood, helmet or hat and they feel a bit precarious. I have had to strip half my boat interior to recover from one ear loss.
Having lost 2 previous buds in the last year, I really think I need a connecting lead between the buds (but bluetooth to phone). I am skint. Anyone tried these?
Or any similar suggestions. I am pretty deaf and listen to a lot of Radio 5 & 6, Talk Shite, LBC etc so sound quality is definitely secondary to in ear security / retention after an ear exit and ability to wear under baldy head protection.
thanks
