As per title......my wife wants some ear plugs to use when swimming. Any recommendations for good ones?

I use surf ears.  They are not cheap but you can still hear a bit, and they come on an elastic that goes round your neck so you don't lose them.

Another Surfears user. Mine are to combat the issues with cold water swimming and abnormal bone growth in the ear canal.

Do you know why she wants them? And are we talking pool or outdoor swimming?

Surf ears for sure,  although they can be a pain to fit properly under a hat.

I use bollsen swim ones when using a tight hat in the winter

So she swims outdoors and I think it's in part due to cold water? Dunno really, just not my thing at all. She's going to order some Surf ears. Cheers folks.

Surf ears are great in my experience. If she doesn’t get on with them, it’s worth looking at custom moulded plugs. They’re the gold standard but a bit more expensive.

I’ve used https://surfplugs.co.uk but there are a few places that offer them if you google, depends where you are and where you can get the impressions done.

Catching up on posts and saw this one and would have said speedo BioFuse are fine and cheap, they do wear over time, I've just picked up a second pair after 2 years/100+ swims.

But instead I now found myself looking at Surf Ears too! how is the hearing with them? I found removing the biofuse to speak at the wall between intervals annoying!

You can easily hear through them.  Of course there is a little bit of volume reduction but they are really clear and can easily have a conversation with them in

I started using them after I got surfer's ear - 50% narrowing of the ear canal due to bone growth. Kind of wish I'd started before that happened but hey.

I've had a set of surfears but these days just use the cheap decathlon ones which look pretty much the same and seems to keep the water out but you get a set of three in different sizes for under a fiver. Which is good if like me you misplace stuff, leave a set in the car etc etc . Which means I've a bowl full of the small ones that I don't use...
