Anyone tried this??? Its a bright yellow Mountain Equipment so I imagine 2xblack Dylons would be best as red or blue will come out gren or patchy?
I have no useful advice, although I feel urged to point out that it is unlikely to end well.
Yeah me too, this isn't going to end well. Wots rong wiv yella?
Oh course, this thread is useless without pictures.
Do post some, you know, it's raining outside we need some giggle factor 10 tummy rumblers.
BOL
Tried it, failed miserably. Ended up dying the inside of the washing machine is all. Dylon is for cotton and wool essentially - you'll find your jacket isn't made of these natural products ;¬) Although bet the feathers will turn out nice.
This should be good. I'm presuming the major use of said down jacket will be walking to an organic wholefood shop to purchase tapenade and anchovies rather than for insulation on the new route up K2?
the synthetic fabric wont't hold the die and it'll look gash, but please carry on with step by step photos as it will be funny as chuff!
from Dylon:
What fabrics can I dye?
Cotton, linen and viscose will dye to the full shade shown on the pack Mixtures of these with polyester will result in lighter shades Polyester, Nylon and other synthetics can not be dyed Wool and silk can be dyed with DYLON Hand Fabric Dye.
You'd be better spraying it with a rattlecan from Halfwits.
Although bet the feathers will turn out nice.
Black Swan in a mountaineering jacket...
I'm already giggling at the responses, I vote thread of the day.
Haha no then 😀
It was doity cheap years ago but a bit bright
