I would like a traditional style phone, keys, small screen, battery lasts a week type thing.
I do however like to have some music on it so there a few requirements.
Standard 3.5mm headphone jack
either at least 8gb memory or ability to handle a sd card of that size or more.
USB connectivity to a mac so the tunes can be added removed.
Any suggestions?

Samsung C3350 has a standard jack I think and has usb.
Also a decent fm radio and impressive sound speakers too.
I have C3350, no headphone jack on mine but in every other respect it's bang on, battery lasts for 2 weeks, gets very good signal and seems pretty indestructible. It does the 'phone' thing rather well.
Bit upset when the guy in Vodaphone showed me the torch function which I was very chuffed with only for him to tell me "Hmm usually it's the older gentlemen who like that"
