I don't know if this is possible or not as it involves the 'sharepoint' version of Excel which has some pretty limited features.
In normal excel you can lock specific cells and apply sheet protection to them. You can, if you allow it by ticking the box, let users use filters on the data.
My question is: is this possible on the sharepoint version? Other functionality is shit, for example, shift+end+right doesn't select all continuously populated cells to the right.
Any help gratefully accepted.
Cheers.
Can you open it in the app set it up then save it?
Can you open it in the app set it up then save it?
I'll give it a try, migrating it back from 'proper' Excel.
Cheers.
Sorry what i meant was.
Right click in sharepoint "open with app" it might be on a cascading dropdown.
Set up excel how you want it. Then just hit save.
It never leaves sharepoint.
We have spreadsheets at work that have to be opened in the app for certain stuff.
Thanks mate - I'll give it a shot.
