I have a couple of really nice shirts, strictly 'special occasions only'. Is it worth getting them dry-cleaned even though they can be washed at home? Anyone had bad experiences with dry cleaning?
Yup.
My girlfriend's dress got some stains on it, I said I'll just stick it in the washing machine, she said she'd prefer to take it to the dry cleaners.
Caused a lot of problems when she didn't.
Bill.
I just buy a shirt from tesco when I need one, then use it as rags.
Shirts get washed and ironed at a dry cleaners, just like you would at home.
If you want them to do it and you want to pay for it, go ahead, just make sure you find somewhere that does good offers, a lot of places will do four garments for a certain price of 5 shirts for a good price, find a deal like that if I were you.
Thanks :O)
Are they polyester or something? Splendid embroidery and rhinestones too delicate for the washing machine?
Dry cleaners I use for shirts keep telling me I'm better off washing them at home as it'll do a better job, I keep explaining it's the ironing I'm mainly paying them for :p
Any man who can't iron a formal shirt should be shot.
