I've googled it but all recipes seem to conflict each other... Anybody got a tried and tested recipe for decent chicken tikka pieces please ?
I've tried a few and concluded it is all about the double marinade which is what they do in india. Here's the recipe I use:

You can sub the atta for plain flour at a pinch.
Works great cooking on the bbq, under the grill or on a griddle pan. Well worth the effort as the double marinade made the chicken so succulent and prevents it drying out.
Let us know how u get on.
Cheers Djambo, will get the ingredients and give it a go... I take it the special flower won't be in tesco ?
Any good just with the pieces done in a hot oven ?
No fancy stuff for mine, tikka paste, natural yoghurt, lemon juice marinade for 24 hrs turning occasionally. Whip it out grill or bake the chicken with high heat for 15 minutes so it's cooked through and a nice colour.
the gram flour is just chickpea flour innit?
should be in tescos, if not, then any indian/oriental store.
