Need an app because CV19 has done for live music/fraternising with fellows for a while.

Quite a few available (ios), old and new, but which one/s should I be looking at?

(focus on rudiments and score)

Thanks!

Eh? Perhaps I'm just old, but I prefer books to work through.

Ones I find good are Buddy Rich's Modern Interpretation of Snare Drum Rudiments, Stick Control by George Lawrence Stone, and The New Breed by Gary Chester.

For play along stuff, Tommy Igoe's Groove Essentials series are great.

Oh, and in our band one of the things we've been doing is recording tunes using Bandlab - essentially an online DAW, but it means everyone can record their parts separate and combine them on the page - possibly worth a go if you're missing playing together?

Thanks Jakester, will check them out. I’m not young either 😉

I used Cubase (on an Atari ST) in the 90s and Reason in the noughties. In fact am so old I didn’t know what DAW meant until I just looked it up! Used to call it ‘music software/sequencer’ back when I had most of my teeth 😎

Am all for books too, but just wanted something handy on my phone to play along to, with metronome plus easy access to rudiments and score. Ideally one (if such a thing exists) that could listen and track my accuracy. Am new to drumming IRL (except for some percussion in the past, alongside synthesisers which was more my thing at the time)

Not in a band currently, and friends who do drum IRL are now even more isolated than ever!
