[Closed] Drug testing and lockdown?

Something has been bothering me recently. Has the lockdown been an opportunity for unscrupulous athletes to evade drug testing?

I'm not going to make it through this post without mentioning a certain yellow-themed bike race, which was the inspiration for this post. Some riders have been particularly dominent in recent races.

Given that training opportunities and competitions have been curtailed, how is it that some people seem to be coping much better than others? How did the UCI / WADA / UKADA etc deal with drug testing when face-to-face interactions were banned? Were athletes and officials exempt from lockdown restrictions, or did all athletes just get a free pass for a few months' of untestable doping?

Good question, but I'm pretty sure they've all been doping before lockdown, just at lower levels so as less likely to get caught by a test.

I'd just take all the drugs I wanted to, and get someone else who looked like me to answer the door to the tester with a facemask on.

Testing face to face is not banned.

They didn't get a free pass but testing was severely curtailed so yes there's been speculation that's been taken advantage of
