Can anyone recommend a contractor to drop a curb for me as I am putting in a driveway. Planning permission is granted by WCC.

If it's on highway you need to apply to HCC for a licence. They can either issue a licence for a contractor or can do the work for you for a higher fee. It's about £900.

You drop a K-E-R-B, not a curb. You can curb the use of that word.

The council will have a list of approved contractors so ask them for it. They'll be a bit more expensive.

Or, find a neighbour that's had a recent new driveway built and ask what they did.
