Any recommendations?
He got one at Christmas which was about 3cm in diameter and couldn't control it, neither could I.....

Yep I got my 8 year-old one of those. It took some trimming to get it to fly straight and level, but it still only lasted 'til Boxing day.

I'm waiting until he's older.

That's what I was thinking but he still talks about wanting one and feel a bit guilty...

I got a Syma X5SC (or something like that) from Amazon for mine. It is actually pretty good. Better than I expected for less than £40 to tell the truth.

He can make a fair go at playing with it but still finds it frustrating. I can fly it OK - so it must be easy really. It takes video that's not going to win any awards but is quite fun to put up on the TV.
