I'm driving a couple of friends with a baby from Hampton to Gatwick Airport, South Terminal. They fly at 6.40 and want to be there around 5.00am. How much earlier should I leave? 44 miles on M25 and M23 approximately. BTW He panicks when a car exceeds 50mph 😀

Well I usually use something like ViaMichelin, its a great program for working these things out and you can adjust the speeds in the results to cater for nervous passengers!

tell them to get a hotel there and take them the evening before. For another 65.00 it seems worth the money to save the potential grief traffic hold up / motorway closure nightmares etc.

If he panicks over 50mph, how's he going to feel when he's hurtling down the runway at 145mph? 😀

Well, not much time to go now, he'll be here around 4 I reckon (to give me some 90 mins to get there). Skid Row will keep his mind at rest (or Marilyn Manson).
