48/50 for me. I've never towed a trailer, so if I ever had to I might well check up on the speed limits before I did.

48/50

Arm signals? When in the last 30 years did I ever use arm signals when driving a car.

Yeah great to see multiple questions on arm signals, fog lights and trailer towing and EcoSafe™ driving, but only one mention of a cyclist.

Though several questions that mention motorcyclist that could easily have had "or cyclist" added to them.

48/50 by the way.

(Didn't know the age limit for supervising learners and misread the white line question. I got 100% when I did the Theory Test for real back in the day.)

46 / Pass, some of the answers must be wrong. They did mention a cycling lane too.

I dropped a couple too. Got one of the two towing speeds wrong, which I expected before I even started. I've no reason to know them, if I was ever to tow anything I'd look it up first.

The other one I dropped was the school patrol one; I thought it was a trick, the lollipop lady I drive past every day carries a STOP sign but actually signals with her arm first. But no, they're looking for the obvious answer.

Amusingly I actually remember arm signals, despite never used them or seem them used in 25 years of driving.

True, though around here mandatory cycle lanes (as in the question) are rarer than arm signals. 🙂

I'd rather they had something about cyclists being allowed to be on the road and appropriate ways to overtake them (or not!).

some of the answers must be wrong

It gives you the chance to check the correct answers at the end.

Every STW driving thread ever, summed up in one line.

49/50 tbh, being a professional driver, it should be better 😀
But, I'm off work tomorrow, and I've started drinking 😀

49. Got the motorway trailer speed limit wrong - I thought it was slower.

Still, there was no theory when I were a lad and I haven't read the highway code in many a year. Funny what you pick up if you pay attention.

50/50, but there were a couple I was unsure of. I can never remember what a clearway is and what the correct sign is.

I got both trailer speeds 10mph too low, age for supervision wrong and one other where I'd failed to use a mouse correctly

still passed though - did it say somewhere what the pass mark is ?

That's quite a pass mark. Much higher than GCSEs.

50/50 but then I did only pass it 18 months ago. Are they up to date questions, I thought the arm signals had been phased out and there was a lot more about cyclists in my test?

True but the fatality rate for not knowing algebra and Dickens is also quite low.

49/50.

Never taken a theory test before as you didn't need them when I passed 🙂

50/50

Glad about that, would have been embarrassing if I got one wrong. Having said that, good job there was no questions about stopping distances 😳

46. I don't appear to be very good with trailers or hand signals. Oh well. Can't believe you get 50 mins to answer though. Only took 10!

Given how many are common sense ("what should you do in this situation, a) boot it, b) lean on your horn, c) proceed carefully") and you've got almost an hour to do it (I cracked through them in about 5-10 mins), you'd have to try pretty hard to fail I'd have thought?

50. Guessed the motorway trailer speed limit one though. When I did my test you had to identify three road signs on cards at the end.

Dammit! Pass with 45/50 but I feel stoopid. 😯

Ya, I answered red light on level crossing ... bloody hell should be amber.

Towing a trailer should be 60 but I answered 50 ...

In a collision I got one wrong as I should have found out if the driver owns the vehicle ... d'oh! Instead of giving a wrong answer of whether the person is licensed to drive.

Fog light ... my stoopid answered was that it would reduce battery life ... how did I manage that!

Another fog light question ... same mistake with stooopid answer of excessive battery consumption ... dammit!

I can't be trusted near a railway or in a crash for the same reasons as chekw
