I am slightly bamboozled as to how drivers have such uncut physiques when all they do is sit in a car and drive. Granted they probably train for hours and us has an element of gymnastics, but it not like swimming 1500 meters.
Maybe I’ve answered my own question.

That’s exactly how I first read the other thread’s title.

I am a professional Driver.
I train for about 45hrs a week, using multiple pieces of equipment.
As such, i have a physique which instantly screams ‘driver’* at any onlookers.

*i’m a fat bastard.

As a tall driver, and one that has owned many small cars, your assessment of having an element of gymnastics in this sport is spot on. However, I have rarely received acknowledgement of my skill in managing to get a 1.97m body into the driver's seat of an old Fiat Panda, instead often being likened to a freak driving a clown car.

Some people just do not give hard work and dedication enough credit.

I try to ensure I maintain an elevated heartrate when I'm driving. Has the beneficial side effect of keeping everyone else's elevated too, win-win situation for public health.
