When laying my head down, preparing to enter the wonderful world of 'the dream', I often get excited about the infinite possibilities that literally lay ahead of me...
I'm being gifted the opportunity to dream ANYTHING... shall I fly? Shall I wrestle a giant flaming lizard...
This world of mystery and zero consequence to both health and social situation....
Anything is possible...
...anything....
So why the funk did I dream I spent a bit of time setting up a turbo trainer, then going on it for a bit.
WHYYYYYYYYYYYyy..
I hate turbo trainers in real life, FFS!
DrP

It's a sign that you might be a Cyclepath.
Lol!
Last night I had a dream a Plane had crash landed on the roof of our house leaving the fuselage their , kind of A320 size. In the dream we were nonchalant about it in a "some day we must fix that leaky gutter " kind of way which was odd.
Anyway, I woke up at 5am, went for a piss, fell asleep and the dream carried on! I remember being annoyed that the dream wouldn't go away, woke up annoyed again, fell asleep yet it persisted!

I had one of those cool rude dreams last night. Which was nice.
Theres never anything fanastifcal in my dreams. Situations might be implausible but theres no magic or impossibility. Some are so mundane that I can be under the false impression for ages that it really happened, but they are so unremarkable that they do nothing other than sit at the back of my mind for a while.
I had a 'memory' for quite a long time of there being a bit of a commotion in another room because my dad had knocked over an exercise bike while getting the ironing board out of the airing cupboard. I hadn't witnessed this event- there had just been a bit of noise and when he came back into the room he'd just explained about the exercise bike thing.
Months later 'hang on - he hasn't got an exercise bike'. It must have been a highlight of one of my thrilling dreams.
Ha!!!
I'm not a beleiver in the 'mythical and magical' at all... but I do wonder what certain dreams mean.
I frequently dream I can fly, but it's quite an uncoordinated process akin to an overweight swan with a heavy backpack on... i sort of 'skirt' above the ground, flapping and trying to gain elevation.... weird..

I've had a recurring stress dream since I was a child that I suddenly discover that I can fly and i'm initially thrilled and go zooming round the house, about five feet off the floor and out into the garden and up and down my street. As I become more confident in my new found prowess I get a bit braver and start to edge gradually higher and higher.
I get up to above the houses and my bottle crashes and I decide to go back down to earth and discover to my horror that I can't go down. No matter how hard I try, I can't lose altitude and, the more I try, the higher I get until I eventully panic as I'm lost in the clouds.
It's horrible and i've had it so often over the years that sometimes i'm lucid and aware that it's a dream as it's happening with the full knowledge of how it's going to pan out but i'm hepless to influence it.
Two days ago I had a very satisfying dream.
Long story short enemies turned up in gangs being menacing but met with me holding two AKs 47 Rambo style. Enemies all down. Job done and very happy.
😎
Dreaming that the doorbell is ringing, then actually getting up & going downstairs to answer it, now that is ****ing annoying...
I used to have a re-occuring dream that I was on a BMX and caught just fly when I got air. Loved it. Always after BMX night rides.
Dreams that are just simply boring or annoying…
Yep
Other people's dreams
You might as well be talking about your last golf round
I am jealous. I very rarely remember dreams, maybe once a year although I clearly often have them judging by the way I fight demons all night every night
When I do remember them they are usually rather nasty - abandonment, paranoia, situations I cannot get out of.
My dreams are hardly ever boring, just weird acid trips. Especially the ones during micronaps at work. In a split second of sleep a whole freaky story can come & go.
(er, I've never dreamt about suede jackets or posted about such. That was someone else)

When you got up to go for a piss, you probably left the landing lights on.

Those aren't dreams. You're awake. In Leith.
maccrisekeen 🙂
- the last couple ofthose dreams were in a shopping mall in hamburg and a bus station on crete.

Brilliant!
That's deep man!
I get some amazing dreams, really fantastical, great narrative, plot twists and everything. Occasionally I'm lucid enough to think "this is bloody brilliant! I wonder what's going to happen next!"
On the other end of the scale, and more on topic, I get dreams where I'm getting set, really excited for an epic day's skiing, but endless snags, admin stuff, forgetting things, travel problems etc. mean I never actually get to do what we planned. Those are very annoying and get very boring.

Mostly just about a handful of friends, normally after I’ve talked to them recently after not talking in a while.
